Attaching a Zoll X Series 12-Lead to an e-Bridge Case
This document article outlines the process for acquiring a 12-lead EKG from a Zoll X Series monitor and attaching it as a PDF to a patient case within the e-Bridge mobile application.
1. Prerequisites & Configuration
Before beginning the transfer, ensure the following conditions are met:
-
Acquire Data: A 12-lead EKG must first be acquired and saved on the Zoll X Series monitor.
- Network Connection: The iPhone running the e-Bridge app and the Zoll X Series monitor must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Bluetooth Enabled: Bluetooth must be enabled (turned on) on both the iPhone and the Zoll X Series monitor.
- Note: The devices do not need to be actively paired, but the Bluetooth service must be active on both devices for discovery.
e-Bridge Configuration:
-
-
The e-Bridge app defaults to searching for Zoll monitors.
- For e-Bridge Cases, the "Monitor Data" button (EKG icon) must be enabled in the "Attachments" section of the specific case template being used. If this button is not visible, the case template must be modified, contact GD Support.
- For e-Bridge Messages, this button is enabled by default.
-
2. Step-by-Step Transfer Procedure
Follow these steps within the e-Bridge app on the iPhone:
- Begin a new case or open the existing case you wish to attach the data to.
- In the Attachments Control section of the case, tap the Monitor Data button (it looks like an EKG/telemetry icon).
- The e-Bridge app will begin searching the Wi-Fi network for Zoll X Series monitors. Any
discovered monitors will be displayed in a list. - Tap the name of the monitor you want to connect to.

- The app will retrieve and display the list of saved "cases" (i.e., 12-leads) stored on the monitor.
- Select the desired case. (This is typically the top one, which is the most recent. Ensure the case you select contains at least one 12-lead).
- The Zoll case data, including the 12-lead and any associated vitals, will load onto the screen.

- After the data has finished loading, tap the Attach button located in the top-right corner of the screen.
- A PDF copy of the 12-lead EKG and a vitals report will be generated and attached to the e-Bridge case.
- You can now tap the PDF attachment within the case to preview it and verify its contents.
