Managing e-Bridge Alerts with an Apple Watch

Managing e-Bridge Alerts with an Apple Watch:

When you wear an unlocked Apple Watch, your iPhone automatically sends most
notifications to the watch instead of the phone. This is normal Apple Watch behavior and is
designed so you aren’t alerted twice for the same notification. However, if your watch is set
to silent or vibrate, you may miss important alerts like e-Bridge alerts/calls because the
iPhone will stay silent while the watch handles the alert.

Why This Happens:

Apple Watch has a feature where, if it is on your wrist and unlocked, it becomes the primary
notification device. Even with 'Mirror iPhone Alerts From' enabled, the watch will intercept alerts, and the iPhone will not make a sound or vibration for them. This means if your watch is silent, you may not hear the alert at all.

How to Fix This for e-Bridge:

To ensure your iPhone plays the sound for e-Bridge alerts while wearing your watch, you
can turn off notification mirroring for e-Bridge. This forces your iPhone to handle e-Bridge
notifications directly, bypassing the watch.

Steps to Turn Off Notification Mirroring for e-Bridge:

  1. Locate and open the Watch app on your iPhone
  2. Tap Notifications (red bell icon) from the menu to access notification settings

  3. Scroll down to the 'Mirror iPhone Alerts From' section and locate e-Bridge in the list of apps
  4. Toggle the switch next to e-Bridge to the OFF position (switch will turn from green to gray). This ensures e-Bridge alerts go straight to your iPhone instead of the watch

Result:

After disabling mirroring for e-Bridge, alerts will go to your iPhone even if your Apple
Watch is on and being worn, ensuring you hear the sound for urgent notifications.
