This notice includes important information regarding upcoming changes to support plans and inform you of your options.

Dear Customer,
We hope this notice finds you well. We greatly appreciate your continued support as a valued customer of General Devices. This notice is to remind you about upcoming changes to Technical Support & Services (TSS) for your CAREpoint 2 system and to inform you of options as we move into 2026. If you have already upgraded to CAREpoint 3 thank you and please disregard this notice.
Notice:
This notice serves as a reminder that technical support service plans for CAREpoint 2 (CP2) systems are not available for 2026. All technical service and support will be provided on a time and materials basis. As such, a purchase order (PO) will be required for work to be completed or materials shipped. Additionally, technical support for CP2 will only be available during regular business hours.
Exceptions:
- For customers that have ordered a CAREpoint 3 (CP3), charges for CP2 support will be waived during the CP3 12-week implementation period. Charges will not be waived beyond this period.
- Charges for CP2 support will be waived if a PO for CP3 is issued within 10 days of the service within the implementation bounds as described above.
Important Reminders:
- General Devices’ CAREpoint 2 End of Support is December 31, 2026. Until then, parts availability may impact GD’s ability to fully support the hardware. No further software updates will be issued.
- CAREpoint 2 utilizes the Windows-10 LTSB operating system. Microsoft support for Windows 10 ended in October 2025, with LTSB ending in October of 2026. As such, most hospital IT policies will require upgrade (replacement) to the new CAREpoint 3 now to minimize potential security and support issues.

As you would expect in today's data centric world, GD's new and improved D-ScribeX logging and reporting software, allows you to manage your CAREpoint 3 data through user-defined graphs and reports from any computer with access to the network. Integration with EMRs is coming soon also.
